MaryBeth, in her infinite wisdom, told me it was time that I left the house for a couple days and took a break from everything - work, clients, screaming toddlers, stinky diapers, etc. So I jumped in the car and spent last weekend on the Olympic penninsula. I'm not a landscape photographer - I've shot landscapes maybe three times in the past 5 years - but I thought it would be good to get outside my normal comfort zone. And nothing is further away for a people photographer than shooting landscapes. I'm talking tripod, polarizing filters, f20, mirror lock-up, cable release - really bizzaro stuff! Anyway, here are a couple of my favorites from Ruby Beach at the Olympic National Park.
